Question:

Is it true that Einstein came dangerously close to dethroning Newton?

We had a guest speaker at my university, an evolutionary biologist to come speak to us about the nature of science, evolution, etc. Anyway, he said science is like playing a game of King of the Hill whereby the scientist with the theory that withstood the test of time and reigns dominant (as the 'king' of the hill) until satisfyingly disproven (i.e. dethroned). He went on to say Einstein came close to dethroning Newton, if only he lived longer. What is he referring to?Is it simply the discrepancies between modern and classical physics?Or something to do with Newton's three laws?

Answer:

battery probably isn't seated properly
I would replace it with a new one.
If you want to be like your physically at your computer at home you want a VNC program; of which there a few. Don't forget that you would need to open the correct ports on your home router and wherever your mobil computer is you would need to make sure its not too restricted or at least find an open port. There is currently no way to stream things from a home computer to a PSP since the psp can only decode mp4 files (which I guess isnt the limiting factor for the streaming). I do believe in Japan there is a wireless box you can use to stream tv to your psp; but I don't know too much about that and it depends on your firmware version.
A pedophile, according to diagnostic criteria, is someone whose primary attraction is for persons under the age of thirteen. Psychologists consider attraction to teens normal and not a part of pedophilia, so you don't need to worry.
We had that happen too. While you can try to change the battery, some smoke detectors simply have a limited lifespan (in fact none are supposed to last more than a decade) and you must replace them. Replacing the battery does not fix the issue. Take the unit down and see if it has an expiry date on it. Has that date passed? If so, it's time to buy a new one.
