is it worth paying more for ceramic brakes instead of metallic brakes?

Answer:

Ceramic brakes are almost always better. They tend to last longer, produce less brake dust, and operate quieter.
WELLLLLL, ceramic brakes are softer to the touch and easier to change the gears. But metallic brakes often have shards of metal protruding from the base i personally prefer foam brakes, (they have a marshmallow-like texture) they really allow for absorbency and brake suspension
I had semi-metallic pads on the car originally, and when they wore out, I put ceramic on. They don't seem to work any better or worse than the semi-metallic pads. The only thing they don't do is produce brake dust so unless you got, or are planning to get, aluminum rims and you don't want to be cleaning brake dust off of them, then they really aren't worth the added expense.
tricky thing. seek with google and yahoo. that may help!
