Question:

Is my water pump in my car broken?

Hi! So I was getting my tires changed and when they jacked the car up and lifted it a lot of coolant came out. This is a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant Thanks!

Answer:

You should have had the garage who lifted your car up look at what was leaking while they had it up in the air. And then held them responsible for any damage that they just caused. A car doesn't just start leaking coolant from raising it up off the ground. Maybe a little more info would help?
That is a real waste of new tires! The Shitsubishi is the original disposable car. Sell it, if you can find a sucker, and buy a Honda Civic. No, the guys at the tire store didn't ruin your car. It was ruined the day it came off the assembly line.

Water pumps do not generally leak Fromm car being jacked up. Sounds like a lower radiator hose is loose or the radiator is damaged or the petcock is loose. One final thought would be the overflow bottle. Pour water into the radiator and see if it leaks out. Just be careful and make sure it is not hot or you may get burnt.
