Question:

Is opening a smoke detector dangerous?

The smoke detector in front of our kitchen if often giving a false alarm. My dad always get impatient, and he will open it up and slam it back together to make it stop. I was wondering if this could cause any harm if radiation was emitted from it or is the radioactive material kept inside a safe, separate housing inside the detector? I appreciate your answers! :)

Answer:

the answer to your question is in your lease, they vary from state to state and county to county,i can't read your lease from here.example here in nj, they inspect only after a tenant changecould go unchecked for years.
the moon gets the light from the sun, and before reaching the earth it passes through different layers of the atmosphere. the composition of these layers give the color of the moon. it is in fact yellow, but you can see it red also, when the atmosphere is very polluted. this wasn't a question related to philosophy, isn't it?
