yes it can cause issues with his speech.it will be hard for him to properly say some letters like l,d,j,n.as he gets older the dr will want to do surgery to fix this because it can get bigger over time and affect other things.ignore people that stare at him or try to explain to little kids that its not bad so they wont be scared of him
I think that is generally treated with surgery. Doctor's don't normally just let that be. If he gets the care he needs, he should have no problems later in life.
it is quite easy to repair once he's a little older. If its just the roof of the mouth that's pretty OK, some kiddies lip and face is split too does he have a shield thing to put in his mouth to help him feed or is he ok?
