Question:

Is there a difference between keyboards or synthesizers?

Does anyone know if keyboards are any different than synths?

Answer:

wow. i wouldn't even know where to begin here. synthesis can be such an amazingly complex thing. i'd be 100% offended if anyone ever called one of my synths just a keyboard eff'n yamaha casio bull. just. wow.
synthesizers do more fancy weird crapthere really is no difference a keyboard is a synthesizer.
Keyboards are also just the regular name for any array of keys like you have on a piano. Be careful how you ask for them if you're buying either.
the difference between a keyboard and a synthesizer is that a keyboard has it's sounds preset and is limited to it's programming a synthesizer while still has all the features of the keyboardcan also use, control, and manipulate outside sound sources as well as run Rom programsbasically a computer with a keyboard.
A keyboard is a natural instrument. A piano. An organ. Whatever. It creates its own music. A synthesizer samples sounds from other instruments and sounds and incorporates them into the trigger keyboard. There is a huge difference.
