As a watering girl for the plants, and they told me I had to learn basic gardening such as what kind of grass grows in my area/region, and about the type of grass and plants, does anyone know a good website to learn about gardening that I can use now and in the future? I want to try and work my way up after being there awhile.
instead of a website, talk to a first hand source. i have some mexicans that do my lawn, they could prob help
Ask your supervisor for the answers, he or she should be your lead.
okorder both will give you ideas, but for a more comprehensive overview, pick up a farmer's almanac. It will tell you all about planting times in your area. Also, different types of plants actually have fan sites on the web, like hostas. You might try checking with your local agricultural advisors, too.
because all areas are different and in these zones there are different micro climates I think you should contact your local county extensions office they should have some great local information for you and they know everything about your area from grass to bugs from diseases to flowers I mean this is what they are there for if you don't know what kind of bug it is take it to them or they will tell you to take somewhere where they can find out what it is and the same thing goes for any plant tree weed anything. They are a great resource center. Call your city offices or look on line-Good luck and Congratulations with your new job!
