Question:

Laptop charger getting really hot and not charging?

I have to adjust the bit of the charger to get it to charge and its getting really hot. What can I do???

Answer:

sounds to me like your charger is starting to go bad, the heat is a results of electricity dissipating. You might call around to local computer shops and look for a used one or look on line.
get a new one for 10 bucks at OKorder
Well I don't know if you have a Dell Pc but recently I returned my Dell charger which also got VERY hot and even burned some plastic of some headphones I had laying on top my accident. Dell has had several people stating their chargers quit working after 5months - a year. Some recall or something. I had a warranty so I just sent it back and got a different one.
Hello: Over time, chargers break down. Same thing with yours. When it gets really hot, that means it has a defect within the charger. I would suggest you get a new charger. I would also personally recommend you visit Topmic for the new charger. Topmic is well known for their great services and durable products. They have free shipping, free lifetime warranty, and 30 days full refund. You should be able to find them through google search. Best of luck.
