i just got a used lcd computer monitor. when i hook it up, the picture is very dim (almost black). is it the ccfd inverter? the computer montor is a Kogi L4AX. i also have another lcd computer monitor. when i hook it up, and turn it on, the picture comes on for a split second, and then the monitor turns off, and back on then the same problem repeats. this monitor is a LiquidVideo L17LCD2.

It could be the inverter or it could be the actual backlight itself (maybe even both). But yeah, in both cases there is something wrong with the backlight.
The first monitor has a problem with either the inverter not powering the backlights or the backlights themselves are bad. Hard to say which for sure. The second monitor, that turns off then on and repeats, sounds like an internal power supply issue, not the inverter or backlights. In either case, the cost to repair them is probably not worth it as it will probably be cheaper to buy another one than to repair them. Best of luck.
