We do this all the time in my familyWe actually take my grandma's apple pie recipe and make the guts of it and freeze them until we are ready to use themAll you do is make the apple guts and place it in a ziploc freezer bagWhen ready to use, just place the ziploc bag in the fridge to defrost, it won't take too longOnce thawed, pour the apple guts into your pie crust and then bake like normalWe do this all the time and works great for less time spent in the kitchenI can honestly say that I have 6 apple pie guts in my freezer and ready to go whenever I need a quick dessert.
Any time you put hot or even warmish food on waxed paper, some of the wax gets on the food, and some of the food gets on the waxed paperSo - throw it away! You really cannot properly clean or disinfect waxed paperOr, you can use aluminum foil instead of waxed paper If you just need a clean pizza box, why not just BUY ONE from a pizzeria? They do sell them for very, very little.
