Question:

Lincoln mark viii 8 suspension ?

After converting my front suspension to coil springs, what do u have to keep plugged up so that my rear suspension is still aid shocks. I‘m not sure if I disconnected something because the back doesn‘t attempt to inflate now.

Answer:

unfortunately what i have discovered with my mark 8 if the front is unplugged the rear wont work at all all the sensors work together and when one or two is not working it shuts the whole system down my suggestion to you is eitehr switch the rear over to standard suspension -or- try pluggin in the front sensors and play with them to get the rear to rise again and just permanently setting the front sensors in one position. another option for you to consider is to locate the air line on the rear of the car and fix it to work as if you put air shocks on the rear and install a nozzle on the car so you can maually add air to the rear suspension instead of the trying to deal with the sensors its lot less of headache and aggravation this way also. i hope i helped you with your problem have a great day!
