not sure on the question? but the depth of cut.. speed of cut.. feed rate of cut.. material that your cutting all affect the temperature of the cutting tool..
Sheer deformation of the tool is negligible, therefore the deformation work converted into heat is very low. Excessive cutting speed will easily and quickly overheat the tool tip and may ruin its geometry and/or structure, depending on the tool material (hard metal or ceramic).
