Magnetic material can be easily divided into soft magnetic material and hard magnetic material after magnetization. (3) magnetic material can be divided into metal magnetic material and ferrite according to chemical composition. The metal soft magnetic material with soft iron, silicon steel, nickel alloy. The metal hard magnetic materials are carbon steel, tungsten steel, aluminum nickel cobalt alloy. Soft ferrite with Mn Zn ferrite, nickel zinc ferrite etc.. The hard ferrite has barium ferrite and strontium ferrite.
Any substance can be magnetized more or less in an external magnetic field.
According to the characteristics of matter in magnetic field, it can be roughly divided into paramagnetic substance, diamagnetic substance and ferromagnetic substance. Traditionally, paramagnetic substances and diamagnetic substances are called weak magnetic substances, and ferromagnetic substances are called ferromagnetic substances.
