so im going to weld copper piping together and i want to drill holes in it so i can put my fingers over it to change the sound but i dont want it to just sound like when you blow into a pipe i want it to sound semi good so for a mouth piece i want to get a piece of pipe and squeaze it down will that work

A saxophone is a reed instrument; you won't get nearly the same sound with just a squished copper pipe. Also, brass has a different resonance than copper, so that will get a different sound as well. Your instrument will probably sound like a penny whistle or recorder.
