Question:

MATH HW HELP PLEASE!!!?

A courthouse steeple in the shape of a square pyramid has base sides of 12 ft, a height of 8ft., and a slant height of 10 ft. How much copper sheeting is needed to cover the steeple roof? I don‘t get how to solve this): please help

Answer:

Surface area 2bs + b^2, where b is the side of the base, and s is the slant. 2bs + b^2 2(12)(10) + (12)^2 2(120) + 144 240 + 144 384 ft fyi. height doesn't matter. not sure why they include it.
Use SA 2bs + b? where b is the base, and s is the side. SA 2(12)(10) + (12)? 2(120) + 144 240 + 144 384 ft? I hope this helps!
