Question:

Maxima 1996 Alarm Troubles?

Hey, I just brought a 1996 Nissan Maxima and it came with a remote to unlock and lock the car, its a black remote with 3 buttons the top one with 3 dashes like III then two more below that next to each other I and then III was just using the 'I' button because it locked and unlocked the car fine and I heard the beep saying that alarm was on when I locked it and off when I unlock it, now when I lock it and unlock it there is no noise and also when I put the key in the lock when its locked and open it, no alarm, but it should go off. Any help to turn on the alarm again would be a great help.Oh and also when I hold down the 'I' button for about 3 seconds the alarm actually goes off, so the alarm works, but not properly if you get what I mean. Thanks

Answer:

Remove the unit and inspect the production date. If it is more than 5 years old replace it. They do not last forever but some do last for 20 years. If it is less than 5 years old contact the manufacturer and talk with them.
I think Sanchez could of used a wake up call before the game started.
Yea Something is wrong you say its comming from both sides Thats not right take it back But you can look under and see if it rubbing something or the bushings are missing or misplaced ,Just take a look .
