Answer:

Don't say you were fired. tell them your company downsized. Most employers won't risk a lawsuit by discussing anything other than you worked for them. If they press you, claim you disagreed with your boss on what you considered unethical activities he wanted you to perform. Or lie and claim racial/gender bias. I wouldn't discuss the ADD unless they ask. If so, explain that you don't believe it will interfere with your performance. The latest advice on resumes is to keep them short, 1-2 pages. Sell yourself in the first half page. Tell them what is great about you and what you have to offer, not what your baggage is. HR managers can be vicious, but if their questions are out of line, tell them you are willing to discuss pertinent information.
this is coming from a 28 year old guy. DO not mention about ADD, THat's useless, TOn's of people have it, I've been told myself. if i were you i'd just be like well they said i made a mistake on a one letter, weekly report. Say something like there were some difficulties with my understanding of what needed to be done on that day. Keep in mind, Most former employers will NOT get into details about anothers work history, simply due to lawsuits, All that most of them will say is. we would opt not to rehire this person I would be surprised if they actually were to tell them if they were to call them that you were tardy and screwd up on reports, THat would surprise me.
