i heard that ceramic take longer than metal, is that true? which one is better?
i would just go with the traditional metal. i know that the ceramic might be a little more comfortable when it comes to getting cuts in ur cheeks, etc. but after a while they turn yellow and this makes ur teeth look yellow. they are also more fragile and are more prone to breaking and they also cost more. i know my orthodontist charged like $500 more per arch for the ceramic braces.
They should both take the same length of time for treatment. If you are not careful with foods and have excessive breakage, the treatment can take longer. Ceramic braces may be slightly more fragile towards breakage, but if you are careful, they will both work the same way. It comes down to personal preference. If you like the look of clear or metal braces better. Be aware that some orthodontists will charge more for clear braces.
