Question:

Micro SD Card Reader Not Working?

Hi, I have an 'Easy Reader' small USB micro SD card reader, and it usually works fine, but doesn't seem to be working. When I plug it in, my laptop doesn't come up with the bit that gives you options to 'open folder to view files' or to 'open via.' etc, in the box that usually comes up when it recognizes the USB? So, I go to 'My Computer' to see if it has been recognized there, and it has, as it comes up with 'Removable Disk (F:)' when I plug it in. When I click on the removable disk icon, it just says 'Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (F:)'. My micro SD card is definitely in the right way and everything, so is there a way that I can get my laptop to recognize the card? Thanks x

Answer:

try inserting other usb devices such as an ipod or other things.if they work there are some driver problems with your sd card reader.if they don't then maybe u need to give your usb hubs some fine checks.it could have been due to dust too try cleaning it up.and also its not unusual in dell laptops to have such kind of problems
have you ever tried different sd enjoying cards in the previous or is this the 1st time? in case you have and its in simple terms this time it hasent make constructive its working on your digicam or mp3 participant or the place ever it got here from :-) if it works have a seem on your device supervisor to make constructive there at the instant are not any problems with the drivers. a million initiate 2 administration pannel 3 device 4 then the hardware tab and click the device supervisor. if there are anyproblems there is useually a sprint image next to the device in simple terms double click on it and function a seem for the errors code. if all else fails attempt reinstaling the driving force on your card reader or locate an as much as date drivr acquire. wish this facilitates
