I have braces for about a year.I went to my ortho. about a month ago and I am just noticing that on one of my tooth that there is no bracket or anything on that tooth. Its way in the backjust before the thing that keeps everything together.I never notcie it not to have anything.I think it had something there before but now its just nothing there now.It just have a wire over it.Where is bracket? Why did they take it off?Why is it just that tooth?
i would call your orthodontist because it could have fallen off you might not have to go into his office. just tell him which tooth and explain your problem and he will answer it.
because, sense your back teeth are more movable, they can take the back ones off sooner. Either that or they put them on later. Mine were put on later.
Ask your orthodonist. I got my braces off about a year ago, but if my memory serves me correctly, they did the same thing to me around the time that my braces were about to come off
i had that same problem couple weeks agoi was eating steak and couple mins after i notice something was hurting me and it was my bracket.when i went back to the dentist the doctor told me my top bracket was pushing my bottom one and decide to take it away for the meanwhile.when you do go back just ask what they are going to doi did that and they put a bit of filling on my back teeth to rise my teeth so the brackets wouldn't touch. Just ask before they go into your mouth
Most likely one of two things, it's a deciduous tooth (baby) that you will soon lose, or it is because this bicuspid hasn't erupted enough to place a bracket in the correct position to be effective. The crown or part of the tooth that shows just isn't tall or long enough to put one on. If they did try to place one it would constantly fall off since it would require being positioned up under the tissue. Give it some time, eventually it will have either a bracket or a band placed. It's been a year and you are just now noticing that you don't have a bracket there? Shame shame, you should be brushing and flossing with extra care along with checking each tooth to be sure they are clean. I won't tell but try to do better! Good luck and hope I've been of some help. If it's been a month since your last ortho, you are close to the next appointment time so just wait and ask about this tooth then. A week or two won't make that much difference. It's nothing dire that needs to be addressed this late between appointments. Additional information: It may have been removed last visit without your knowing since they don’t hurt to remove, so it’s possible you didn’t feel it. My thoughts on removing it would have been to reposition it, which one would have been placed and activated then, or maybe an upcoming appliance placement. The only one who can answer that question is going to be your orthodontist, I’m sure that if they removed it, there is a reason for it. It's also possible that it came loose and fell off since your last appointment. You next adjustment should be in the next week or two so you should be fine waiting until then.
