I need to new tires on my motorcycle. I found 2 good deals for the front and rear but they are different brands. Does that matter at all? or should you stick with the same brand front and back?

best handeling is a matched set but as long as you get quality tires not cheap ones it will be fine im mismatched on one of my sport bikes rite now as an example to you of this its causing the rear to be a little on the loose side in corners but nothing major
Janice is close on this one but another thought, I understand tight funds, I have been out of work for going on my 8th week, but remember this-YOU are depending on those two pieces of rubber to work in conjunction with each other and just work period. Stay the heck away from those cheap tires, like the Michelin Man says, So much is riding oin your tires! I have run mixed tires only once, and I did it on a touring bike without incident, but I did notice a slight difference in the handling department, since I do not ride a sports bike, I would imagine it would have been magnified at speed! Go for the matched set and you will have no regrets. They are designed to work together. If your a bit short of funds The Chen Shin are fine. Used 'em on the coast in fog rain with no complaints and on the highway through the Nevada desert with good result. Be sure to have them balanced whatever you choose.
