Question:

Motorcycle tires best and worst?

2004 Honda Shadow Aero

Answer:

go with a brand name dunlop, metzler, ect the cheap ones even though some have the same looking tread dont last.
And when you replace the plumbing, do it with PVC plumbing!
Good tyres include Bridgestone, Yokahama, Metzler.etc Medium grade include Perilli, Marquies,Firestone.etc Economy tyres include Duro, Chen Shen, king, gbc.etc Dunlop, Michelin, and Avon each make all grades of tyres ( I have seen Dunlops from $65-$500+ for same size) All tyres (unless defective) are safe, otherwise DOT would ban sale. A harder tyre will wear longer, but a softer tyre will handle better! Also be careful of physical size of tyre (width alone can vary as much as 1/2 inch w/ same size diff. brand) VT 750 Honda Shadow Aero 04-06 f-120/90-17 r-160/80-15
You have to do some experimenting to find out which tire is the best for you. I have a 2000 ElectraGlide classic that came with Dunlops. I wasn't getting the mileage between tire changes that I would like so I tried some other tires. The Meztler was an awesome tire but the compound in the tire were to soft so I got less miles, but great handling on wet roads. I agree with bob h, don't go cheap. There is a reason that they are cheap and you don't want to find out why when you have only two tires between you and the ground when you are doing 60 mph So you will have to do some home work yourself. GOOD LUCK on riding.
