Hey!! Mosh pits aren't that bad as long as you know what you're doing. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that cover your toes so they don't get stepped on. Don't wear flip flops! Put your hair up because if you don't I guarantee you someone will end up eating it. Mosh pits can get really rough depending on the band you're seeing so if you're nervous, stay on the edges. Sometimes they like to pick up the shorter girls and they crowd surf. If you stay on the edge this probably won't happen to you. If you do end up crowd surfing and you don't want to, ask someone to help you get down and they will. Try not to push people because they take it the wrong way sometimes and start fights. If the band starts a wall of death, get away from the middle if the pit as fast as you can! If you don't know, a wall of death is when the pit separates down the middle and the two sides run at each other. A lot of people get hurt during this but if you get out of the way you'll be fine. Look it up on YouTube. But don't worry, the pit is not as bad as it sounds. By the way, what concert are you going to? Good luck:)
Call the local utility company that supplies the gas and electric. Explain the situation, they will send an inspector, no charge. You will receive a statement listing the deficiencies as will your landlord. The utility company may shut off the gas until it is safely repaired. Regarding CO and smoke detectors, call your local housing authority for information.
Did you ever play one of those old pinball machines in an arcade? You know how the ball bounces around like crazy, well that's what its like in a mosh pit.
