I agree with Kayak. The emergency space blanket is just that. For emergency only. It does capture your heat but it will cause you to get wet inside a sleeping bag. Have you ever considered just getting a better sleeping bag. If you have a very small budget you might try garage sales, thrift stores and flea markets. I have seen very expensive sleeping bags go for $20 or so. Kayak had some good ideas to add to your present sleeping bag. But trying to stitch a space blanket inside will not last very long as the plastic will tear easily. Of course if you are not hiking long distances and just camping at a camping area just bring extra blankets in the car and add them on top and bottom. Simple
