Do a search for military exo skeleton and the future soldier program. You will be amazed at some of the things we are working on. The biggest limiter at this point is battery power. And if you want to read about the ultimate in Sci Fi Infantry Armor, read Heinlein's Starship Trooper. Please don't confuse this with the stupid movie by the same name! The big is incredible.
Depends on what you mean by, the motor was all burned. If the motor was in good shape and just the belts, hose's and wiring was fried, you may be able to sell the engine block. But again it depends on what actually happened to the engine. If you have the space and someone to dissect the vehicle, you can make a lot more than $150 by parting it out yourself. Again, if you can do this and want to bother with it, you should be able to tweak about $1,200 out of the beast. This won't happen overnight and it is a hassle, but it can be done. I've flipped a few myself and it's not always fun. Good luck.
