Question:

My Time Warner Cable Remote Control volume doesn't work. Can someone help me fix it?

I tried answers on demand. I tried the retarded website. I read through the stupid manual like 10000 times. I even followed all the dumb procedures. My brother is a retarded dummy. He set the volume on the TV to the max and the volume on the cable to the low. He even messed up the the remote set somehow and the volume for the cable box is out. Since he mixed matched it, you can't hear anything. How do I fix this?Remote#: UR5U-8700L-TWY

Answer:

Programming Time Warner's Remotes Volume Control Point the digital remote AWAY from your TV. Press and hold the CBL and SELECT buttons AT THE SAME TIME until the red light at the top blinks twice. Using the remote control key pad, enter the number 993. The red light on the remote blinks twice. Press the TV or CBL button on the digital remote depending on what device you want to control the volume. Point the remote toward the TV to control volume, and adjust the volume to confirm.
