I know it's the tires or something related to them because it gets higher in pitch the faster I go, completely unrelated to my RPMs. It's kind of hard to describe but it's as if my tires had a bunch of grooves on them and these grooves were hitting the pavement as I went. It's the front tires but I can't tell if it's one or the other or both. One thing I have noticed is that it totally goes away whenever I turn the wheel to the right, even slightly. Tires aren't that old, about 2-3 years, and I first tried airing up the tires to see if that helped, it didn't.I've tried looking online and the most common problems I see for this are either wheel bearings, or alignment. I was going over speed bumps at full speed (don't do that any more) and I have a feeling that is contributing to the problem.I'm hoping its just alignment because that would be cheap to fix, wheel bearings would not be cheap. What do you think it might be?
You antique fire extinguisher is filled with air and baking soda. It would be safe discharge it outside.
go to your nearest m/c dealer and ask him. Tucker-Rocky catalog has tons of this stuff. I'm not sure if T-R has an on-line catalog. good luck.
