I have a 1990 toyota celica and I just changed the altenator on my car. when i got it back my wipers didnt work. i opened my fuse box and realized that my fuse was burned so i went out to buy a new one and replaced it. the moment i turned my car on, the wipers started working while the knob was on off so i decided to take the fuse out. everytime i put the fuse in, the wipers just wont turn off. is there any way i can fix this myself??? what should i do??
Well you could ither have one of 2 problmes. 1 could be that the wire for you windshiled wipers could be bad. 2 you might need a new computer or it might be damages which means it will tell your car the wrong thing to do! hope it helps
sounds like a wiper motor relay switch is bad i had a ford p/u that the wipers would come on for no reason and that was the problem. soynds like when you changed the alternator you grounded out something and the overload went through the wiper motor circuit thats why your fuse was blown.
