I have a 93 Chrysler lebaron (i know old) and this morning it snowed so i used my wipers to wipe off the snow and they worked but today after school they didn‘t even move. IDK what a motor sounds like but it didn‘t sound like anything else was running but the car motor itself. What should i do to fix it ?
the cheapest fix first, check the fuses, an there may be more than just one fuse for that, I believe that car has a fuse under the hood too, but personaly I just replaced the motor to my wipers, if you dont hear a sound while its tryin to wipe, they just look dead, its a power problem if not the motor, if the motor is good, its not gettin no juice, period. if the wipers control is on a switch with other things on it too like the lights an turn signals, the switch could of went out, no matter what it is its all a pretty cheap fix, a motor is only around 40$ new an 20$ used, the switch would be the hardest thing to replace, thats labor wise not price though, check the fuses, then move to the motor then the switch. if all fails, have someone run a toggle switch, you can always get around wiper issues babe dont panic.
Check the fuse.Maybe just a blown fuse.
This has happened to me as well. You have wiper blades and wiper arms. When the blades are stuck to the windshield from snow or ice it can strip out the area where the wiper arms connect. To find out if they are stripped, Try moving the blades by hand. If they have no resistance, then the wiper arm is stripped and you need a new one. Visit You Tube and search changing windshield wiper arms.
