Well, first of all, if you accidentally spill a chemical on your hand without knowing it and then you rub your eye, it could irritate it and cause an infection. And if someone drops a bottle or the chemical suddenly explodes, it could easily hit the eye.
I can think of 2 reasons 1 a very large state and a very rainy state.
Dangerous chemicals could get into your eyes and blind you.
maybe uyou get a splash of chemicals on your glasses and just ignore it, but if that went into your eye you could lose that eye
