Remove the lug nuts and set them aside so you won't lose them. Remove the flat rire and set this aside as well. Put the spare tire on the studs, making sure the valve stem is facing you. Place the lug nuts back on the wheel and tighten them in a star pattern until they are fairly tight. Lower the vehicle and finish tightening the wheel.
