I bought a digipower charger for my Nikon camera its been charging for an hour and still nothing am I being impatient, is it suppose to at least have one bar on the screen of the charged or not?
You've been charging for an hour and nothing happens? First time? Do it overnight. The first charge usually lasts around 8 hours. Always do your charging at night so you won't have to worry about it. Take note. Every time you stop charging to test the battery in the camera then recharge again, you restart the charging process. The charger has to discharge the battery first before it starts to recharge. Any headway you gained earlier will be lost as you start again from zero.

Never fast charge (1, 2, or 4 hour) a battery with any charger that is not specifically designed for it. That means, a Nikon charger of the correct model number for a Nikon battery. Let your charger run for 16 hours and see if it charges the battery. Your charger might be a trickle or overnight charger (16 hours). Actually such chargers are safer and will charge your battery better - and you will have more capacity - than with a fast charger.
