Question:

Older Vehicle - Wiring, Wiring Harnesses, etc. beginning to dry rot, etc any spray solvent or application?

Anything spray solvent, application, etc. that I can spray these wires, wiring harness, etc. with to treat the dry rotting? Anything I can do to preserve the wiring of my vehicle.from corrosion. The plastic from cracking or dry rotting? For example, when trying to change a sensor, etc. when I pull the wire it is dry rotted, corroded, etc. Is there something that I can spray on all of my vehicle; wiring that will preserve it them for a few more years?

Answer:

We use those words in both intense college (secondary) and faculty/college. maximum individuals initiate intense college at 14 and graduate at 18. In both promotion is in accordance to type of credit earned. A freshman is sparkling from the different college. that is likewise referred to as 9th grade in intense college (9 years after kindergarden). A sophomore continues to be smooth, yet he has more suitable than the freshman. (10th grade regularly 15) A Junior is eleventh grade regularly 16. A Senior is 12th grade, regularly 17. maximum turn 18 in the school 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and graduate at 18. In some colleges that is achievable to graduate at 16 or as previous as 21.
I'm sorry to tell you but they sound like they are already damaged. Especially if your are finding corrosion and the plastic is cracking. What you could do is check in a magazine called Hemming's Motor News and see who might have replacement electrical harnesses for your vehicle. If it is an older vehicle, the harnesses are pretty cheap, and they are easy to change if you work them slowly, one connector at a time. They come with all the wiring pre-done, with all the connectors attached. You just remove the old connector, snap the new one in place, and then move backwards and do it to the next part of the harness. A lot of cars have different harnesses for different functions, so you only need to change maybe 2 harnesses, because the others are OK. The harnesses typically stop at the firewall, where there is a large connector. The body electrical harness will be from the inside of the body to the instrument panel. while the engine harness, and also maybe the forward lighting harness, will start at the firewall and run forward. Good luck!
not that I ever heard off, there are wire harness kits available from a company called painless that has a great reputation, Its certianly a job to rewire a vehicle, but as you are finding out, there may not be an option if this was a wire near the engine, I would expect its been warmed up many years off and on, you may need to replace ones that appear to have any dry rotted damage as the wire may ne degradded itslef. take a closer look and see just how severe the problem is, best of luck.
