i shampoo my carpets once a month and my furniture and drapes get done every 3 months. once a year i get it professionally done
carpets and furniture should be professionally cleaned once a year.
i steam clean my carpet every 2 weeks or so but that is because i have white carpet and 3 kids, ugh. it is not so good to do it that often cuz it takes away any scotchguard you have on it. i think most people do it every 3-4 months. and vacuum as many days a week as you have people living in your house ie- i have 5 people, so i vacuum monday-friday! ick! for the furniture i would say once or twice a year unless you smoke and then more often.
Carpet manufacturers recommend carpet be professionally cleaned a minimum of once a year. More if needed w/ high traffic etc. Furniture I would assume when needed or some carpet places do that also . GL
I do both things once a year, usually in the spring when I can open the windows to let things dry out.
