People are absolutely attached to cell phones, facebook, the internet, texting, video games, and the list goes on. Sometimes I think we have defeated the purpose of technology by overusing it. We are so obsessed with technology, we are losing the art of socializing. But then again, technology has opened doors for us in more than one way. It is an amazing resource, and we are now capable of doing things we couldn't do before.Do you think technology is a curse or a blessing?
unless you had it in writing that they would work around your schedule it becomes your word against theirs, no employer is required under any law or rule to work around an employees schedule for any reason, refusing to work will not make you eligible for unemployment
I', not sure if you want to sue because you got fired or because you couldn't get unemployment. You always have the option to sue but winning is another thing entirely. A company can fire you any time they want - and they don't have to tell you the reason. You can't get unemployment if you are fired. If they fired you because you filed for unemployment as you claim, but which is extremely doubtful, it really makes no difference.
Atheist here Study what you want. There shouldn't be any limit in our subjective search for the truth. Who cares what fundamentalists think/say about studying both The Doctor: Which atheist? And it isn't a metaphorical Hell, but a subjective Hell. 10 to 1 you don't hold a PhD or an MD.
This depends totally on what state you live in. In a right to work state, like Nevada, you're out of luck. The only way you can sue them is if they fired you for some discriminatory reason, like because you're black. In a union state, like California, you might have a successful claim on your hands.
