I hope you don't take these as me criticizing your parenting but you seem pretty strict for the most part. To pick a few things out : Ryan: Limiting the amount of time he can spend with his girlfriend seems like a pointless rule (maybe you haven't been completely clear as to why, but seeing her alot anyways doesn't really justify that) As far as electronics go, I see exactly what you are trying to do because you are perceiving these things as distractions from success in school. However, if your son is only allowed to make As and Bs but has shown Cs in the past, then this is a VERY discouraging rule in your house. If he is consistent with As and Bs, it is not as bad but he may still feel pressure to perform at a certain level. I am unsure if you are saying he cannot use the electronics BEFORE 5 or AFTER 5, but if it is after, that is pretty strict in my opinion. Alexia : Not being able to date is kind of destructive of a social life. By no means does this mean that anyone under 16 that is not dating someone is without a social life, but just the fact that she cannot be with someone even if she wants to will have a negative effect. Instead I may suggest you lift this rule but be somewhat involved because I can see you are very protective of her. Think of it as a relationship between 2.5 people haha. (But if you take me up on this, do not go too far as most protective mothers would tend to do) Twins: Everything seems pretty fair :) Additional : It seems like alot of your rules are based on keeping your children pure , occupied, and geared for success. Your rules do in fact accomplish this but socially, they may be slightly behind. I am not saying greatly behind because although you are strict, you are not telling them not to do this things altogether, just placing large barriers on what they can do. Lastly : Remember that Overly Strict Parents raise the sneakiest children. As they grow up, try to be a little easier on them.
Most frames purchased in those types of stores are for fashion use only. The frames generally are not suitable for prescription lenses. If she has a picture of a style she is looking for, bring it into any optical shop and ask if they have anything similar. She might do well with a men's black plastic frame for that nerd look. Cost can vary depending on material used and any extras like anti-reflective coatings or transitions.
