There isn't a way. The latex will continue smelling for it's lifetime. See if you can find an alternative to those gloves, that's your best bet. Normally you could sun smells out, and use baking soda and water to absorb the smell, but not with latex. It might make it more tolerable though. But again, your best chance is finding different ones, the brain can get messed up if you keep giving it an intolerable smell.
Yes it does pose a hazard. Beyond general PPE (personal protective equipement such as gloves, lab coat, safety glasses), a laminar flow hood (ie: tissue culture hood) is used not only to protect the invidual performing the task from the cells, but to also protect the cells being cultured from outside agents such as mold, bacteria, etc.
