In the laundry room at my school theres fire alarms on the wall that have a small hole in the middle. What's the purpose of the hole?

I would start by updating all your stuff online. Develope a good profile for your business and submit to all the directories you can. Start with google places,most place will allow pictiures and videos. Build YouTube, facebook page, twitter and have it all linked to your website with a killer offer and a place where they can sign in with phone and email and follow up. If you do it yourself it is free! Then just start knocking on doors and contacting people make yourself an expert write a blog and give tips that are useful and put it on your website. The best way to generate business is to answer customers questions about your service, that is why I love video.
