Question:

questions about lightning?

thanks so much all who answer! and if you only know one, just answer one, please. (: 1. when warm air rises to meet the cold air, what causes the top of the cloud to be positively charged and the bottom of the cloud to be negatively charged?2. Why will the negative charges in the cloud be attracted to the positive charges on the ground?3. Why does the ground below a cloud have a concentration of positive charges?4. Sometimes we here don't stand near a tree during a thunderstorm why do we here this?5. what is grounding and why is it important?be as detailed as you possibly can.this is for an 8th grade science poster presentation, if you want to know for any reason, hahaa..

Answer:

Just replace the gaskets using sheet gasket material.
When the photon strikes a metallic conductor, it accelerates an electron. The kinetic energy field created by the impact of the photon creates a reactive field exactly opposite to the perpendicular photon component. But, since there is no media (metal or non-metal material) into which the photon can impact to create an opposing photon on a smooth surface, there is no reactive field produced against the parallel component of the photon. Thus, when the reflective media polarizes, and reflects back its perpendicular field component, the photon re-creates itself and bounces back off, at an angle of incidence equal to the angle of exit.
