Question:

Radial and Biply Tires?

How are those tires differ from each other?

Answer:

Gotta get the Codes read. Maybe take it for a run on the hi-way and blow some of the crap out. Don't baby it.
there is a very long list of reasons that will trigger that light to come on. i would start with the gas cap to tell you the truth. if an additive was used in the tank, that cap may not have been tightened enough, 3 clicks is a rule of thumb. if it is running that poorly, call fire stone about it since that service was done there. it could be a vacuum line that is not in place honestly.
your car has so many sensors and computer check points that it is hard to know without taking the car to get the computer scanned. Some places charge $100 but will waive the fee if you have them fix the problem. But some parts stores will scan it for you for no charge - hopefully it is something you can fix. The code scan is a bit vague and may take more troubleshooting - but it will atleast let you know what to check.
I think all passenger car tires are radial ply now. I haven't seen a bias ply tire in many years. The reinforcing cords on a radial are wrapped perpendicular to rotation. A bias ply is obviously wrapped on a bias (angle) to rotation with alternating layers in the opposite direction so that they cross each other.
A radial tire has the belts wrapped from the rim to rim perpendicular to the tire. Bias ply run along the same direction as the tread. Radial tires last considerably longer, handle better and ride significantly smoother.
