Question:

Root Canal redo thru crown - now loose crown?

I had a root canal redone through my existing crown 6 days ago. I'm in terrible pain and cannot close my teeth together because my bite now seems off and my lower teeth are hitting my crown that never touched it before. Before the procedure was started, they put a device with a rubber sheet around my tooth that would block debris from getting into my mouth and help to keep the tooth dry during the procedure. When it was put on, it was very uncomfortable and tight. When it was removed it felt like my tooth was being pulled. My question is this: Could they have loosened my crown? I went back to have them adjust the occlusion and it seemed fine at the moment but now seems to have gotten worse and seems tight against the adjacent teeth.
