Question:

Should I use oil? Or not? 10 points for best answer?

I want to make banana oats cookiesI saw this recipe online that said the only two ingredients you need are bananas and oat, but they also said that I should grease the pan before I put on the doughWell I am trying to eat healthy and lose weight so is there a way that I can do the cookies without any oil or butter? Or can I put aluminum foil? Or what?

Answer:

Oil (or shortening) for coating a baking pan will not impart a significant amount of fat to the finished productIf you have a silicone baking mat (like a Silpat), that may allow you to forego the oil but really, it's such a trivial amount.
