Question:

Skutt Kiln Voltage and problems?

I just got a Skutt KM-1227-3 Cone 5 Kiln, 208V-1P, 48A for free from my highschoolThey got a new kiln, and it has been having problems and firing too high and low and sometimes just not firingI know there is a difference between 208 and 240 volt wiring, would it work on 240? It isn't it great shape, the firebrick has some cracks and things, but still it was freeI'm thinking the thermal sensor is deadI'm considering just using the firebricks and making a smaller kiln to use as a foundry or for heat treating knivesI'm still in highschool and will use the kiln there for ceramics.

Answer:

They can climb and get in just about anywhereIf they have a nest; you have a problemThey not only chew insulation, they also chew electrical wires! This can cause an electrical short and possibly a fire! If you use a humane trap, what do you do with them? If you let the go out side they will simply return insideTraps and poison (harsh I know) is better then a serious problem or the house burning down if they chew through electrical wires.
LOL put out poison and get a catwell guess the mouse wont be the only thing stinkingJ/K i know what you meanchances are the mouse just hangs out up there getting away from all the noise downstairsbet he has tunnels everywhere from basement to attici can deal with the smell so i put out poisonif you get a catdont feed the cathouse cats are useless for catching miceother that to play withdo the poison!
Mice will eat or try eating just about everything, including electrical wiringwill venture out for waterSo best to get rid of by putting Decon or similar poison in atticMeanwhile they are urinating a defecating all over the place and not creating a healthy condition for you and your family.
how do you survive in a wooden house, you go out and get food, he does the same
