Question:

Smoke Detector Light?

So usually the smoke detector green light flashes a couple times a minute. The other night, it suddenly flashed green and then the light stayed on and woke up both me and my roommate. I was wondering what this means or if it was just something random. This has happened two times.

Answer:

I don't much care for speed bumps but they do have their uses. We petitioned council to have them put on our street and the neighbours (everyone) went along with it. We lived on a relatively quiet street with very little cross traffic. Problem was that it was all new and most families had pre school or public school aged children. The street had a 20 MPH speed limit but car would race up at 40-50 MPH. The speed bumps cut traffic by almost 20% and slowed down the cars dramatically.
Please, go back to school! The six inches of concrete will act as a heat sink and radiate heat at night. The police may guess that the heat is generated from a grow light system.
