Question:

Solar PV and water heating?

Is it possible to install a PV cell and then install a perhaps copper tube(or an heat exchanger) to offset the heat generated from the PV and use that heat to heat the water for the house? this way the PV will stay cool and maintain high efficiency?

Answer:

Solar PV is used to product electricity, you can use a inverter to contravariant the electricity into 110V/220V/380V to heat water .
Recommend to use solar water heater for water heating.
The temperatures that you want the water to heat up to are higher than the temperatures you want the PV panels cooled down to so you either circulate enough cold water to make the PV panels efficient which makes the water temperature too low for heating or you let the water heat up to the desired hot water temperatures making the PV inefficient.
