Whenever you buy a Straightener don't look at the brand or the price at first, look for how high the heat goes.I have really curly hair too and my old straightener was brand name and only cost me $30 and i was really excited to go use it until it broke as soon as i took it out of the box! and now i have a straightener that may have cost me $60+ but it goes to 465 degrees.So look at any beauty supply store and even ask your hairstylist for recommendations
