Question:

Struggle w/Bench Press ?

I can't lift the bar without it leaning a bit to the left or right and my repetitions are pathetic. I'm almost 15, 110 lb and I started lifting last month. I had a trainer and he told me to just do dumbbell presses. I'm doing 15s on the dumbbells but it's embarassing because most of my friends brag about benching their bodyweight. My trainer recommended that I should do 15 reps comfortably with the 45lb bar before putting weights on. Will I ever be able to bench my bodyweight? when my current dumbbell press doesn't even level with how much the bar weighs?

Answer:

if u wana do sumn at homestead do categories of push united statesto artwork ur chest like huge unfold push ups, diamond, close armed, and so on. additionally use dumbells and do vulnerable presses, and so on.
ya this is typical you wont be able to bench your body wight right of the bat.. lol it might take a while but before you know it youll be doing fine.. follow your trainer. although i don't like trainers because all they want is you're money but for now it fine. do push ups it gives you a 10 percent better bench press strength. but you should not just do bench press thats really pathetic. you dont wana be walking around with a big chest and boat arms right lol.
