First off there are no furry creatures that can get to the snail bait, just snails. That said, Does the snail poison have the ability to infiltrate my plants and the vegetables they produce?????
To be pedantic, the lightning is actually nature's way of discharging already stored energy. The energy is already stored in a charge imbalance between the clouds and the ground (much like a battery or capacitor). You would want to find a way to use that potential energy in a helpful way, rather than letting nature 'waste' it on lightning (much in the same way that shorting an electrical circuit wastes the energy made at the power plant).
It's not the suit, but the web shooters. He made them to shoot out his webs. In the last movie series they just came out of him and people are more familiar with that now.
