It is more rounded than a normal wrench to avoid stripping the end. I am talking about a normal garden hose spigot here. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't even consider it a firing. She was assigned to a new position which is probably better suited for her anyway. And she'll still earn a 7-figure salary. No tears shed for her. Did the NBC brass blame her for the drop in ratings? They would never admit as such, but wouldn't be surprised if that was true. In today's world, when anything goes wrong, we impulsively look for someone or something to blame often make rash decisions as a result. Ratings are hard to predict, but I hope they do get worse. The Today Show has become essentially a useless program, emphasizing fluff rather than anything of substance. I look forward to the day we demand better stop wasting out time watching shows simply because they happen to be on. The Today Show may have been Ann's routine the last 15 years, and her position had perks (not to mention being insanely overpaid), but she was too good for an inane show like this. She may not have as much of the spotlight in the future, but I think she'll have more career satisfaction from her next position, and you can't put a price on that.
First EDIT: There's a power switch somewhere. Probably under the plinth. So no, you don't have to spin the record yourself :) You WILL have to manually put the needle on the record and lift it off at the end, though - you don't want to be paying for any features that don't directly affect the sound. My turntable cost over $3500 and everything is manual!
