About three days ago I bought some 22 rims and tires for a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Well today all four sensors went on.I checked the tire pressure on all four tires and they seem to be good. My question is why would this happen? Do you think I just need to reset them?
First off, you need to make sure the person that did your tires even put the tire pressure sensor valve stem in. he most likely didnt install them into your new rims. if he didnt, they are going to be a little pricey
Did you do the re-learn procedure? I believe it is in your owners manual for this model. It goes something like: turn the key to the on position, depress the parking brake, turn the lights on and off 3 times. If the horn chirps then go to the driver front tire and slowly let some air out for 5-7 seconds. Wait for up to 30 seconds for the horn to beep. Then go to the passenger front tire and repeat. Keep going til you get to the drivers rear tire.
No such thing as tire pressure seems to be good . It must be a specific pressure or the low tire pressure light comes on. SO your tires are either low, or the sensors were damaged when they transferred them to your new wheels, or there are no sensors at all in your new wheels. Check your door jamb for the recommended tire pressure, then check your tires to make sure they are at that pressure. Go talk to your tire dealer about this .
